Steve James Sculpture Unveiled at Oxford University
I had the great opportunity in 2016 to be asked to commission my Kindle sculpture for Harris Manchester College, Oxford University.
Burnley sculptor Steve James, Principle Rev. D. Ralph Waller, Professor Ian Finlay, and artist Vital Peeters at Harris Manchester College, Oxford University
The commission came about through college fellow Dr Ian Finlay, who I’ve done private artwork for, it’s a collaboration of stainless steel by myself and fused glass work by artist Vital Peters.
The two mediums came together to create a unique piece symbolising the flame of knowledge for the school’s students.
